New remix available on free EP

I contributed a remix for this free download EP by Laura Cannell, which you can get here.

Each track takes a fragment of medieval music and is then turned into something new. It’s well worth checking out, and also I encourage you to explore more of Laura’s work over at www.lauracannell.co.uk.

Laura is also performing with me at Café OTO in November – see the live section for details.

Mixtape for Clash

Here’s a mix I put together for Clash Magazine.

I made the mix in the middle of the night at very low volume so as not to disturb by neighbours. There’s a sound in the Stargate track that sounds just like my door bell and I kept having waves of paranoia thinking that i’d woken someone up. The mix is supposed to drift in and out of your attention, gently psychedelic, distant and vaguely hypnotic. The last two tracks could go on forever.

Amphis – Wysing Forest live performance

Here’s a video of me performing Amphis in Wysing Forest – the location that gives my new album its name. I hope you enjoy.

At the beginning of the video you can hear James’ dog snuffling around near the microphones, and at 3.39 you can hear his tags rattling as he runs past the mics again. #funfacts #dogs
